The Calm before the Storm

As Hurricane Gustav approaches the coast, we have decided to take precaution. The storm Rita in 2005 made a big dent in our lives here, so why not make the safe choice and evacuate? We are going to head to Dallas, for a few days. And hope that nothing happens to our home, or our families homes. I will try to get back with everyone as soon as I can and return calls and emails soon. Be safe!

Tanna and Richard {e. session}

This {e. session} certainly had it's obstacles. We originally scheduled for last Monday, but rain, or let me say the flooding kept us in. So we decided on Friday morning, and ended up with Sunday being the best! Just about all Sunday I had a horrible headache, and not really looking forward to the shoot because I was not feeling good. But I sucked it up and took some Tylenol and went on. Then, when I got to original location, the field was mowed the evening before, so it was just short ugly grass, not the picture perfect field it had been all week long. I was thinking "Come ON!" So once the couple go there we opted for another grassy location that worked perfectly, and then traveled a bit around town.
There were so many people honking and yelling at us while doing the shoot, I think it's because this couple is so cute and their love is very obvious! You can defiantly tell they are in love. I love doing engagements, the couple are so much fun, and are always willing to show their love and affection for each other!
I am so glad that my headache went away and things got better, but you know after all the things that happened to us before the shoot got started, it just made the images that much better and was well worth the wait if you ask me! Enjoy your sneak peek!

NEW WEBSITE!!!

YEA!!! My NEW Website is LIVE! Go Check it out! All the Galleries are not filled, I just haven't had time, I still have 3 sessions to edit! But I wanted to get it back up because I just hate not having a "Home." So you will probably see a few changes and adds from time to time in the next few weeks, but it's just to perfect it!

Meet Senior Rep. SHELBY

She is Just Gorgeous!! Shelby and I met today, well... yesterday now...(Tuesday) We had an awesome time taking pictures, even though we started at 7:30 am! hehe.. Rain was in the forecast and it rained out my engagement session on Monday, so we went for the morning and I am so glad that we did! We found some killer locations that I know I will be dragging someone to. Here is a sneak peek from today's session, I will post more soon, but I am running on about 4.5 hrs. of sleep... SO this will have to do.

**By the way... notice something on the pictures? It's my new watermark designed by Sugar Shots Photography. Thanks Reata!! It's also a sneak peek as to what is to come with my new website that is in the making. It should be up and running very very soon! Maybe even by the end of the week... Fingers Crossed!

Out in the Country...

These are from my Monday Session. We had such a great time, I love taking shots next to old vintage things, as you can probably tell lol. Thank y'all for being such great models! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek, These are the only ones I have had time for!

* Also I guess i should say that I do some editing to my pictures as well, so much of what you see on my BLOG is not SOOC (straight out of the camera.) I apply textures, actions, and all sorts of things to them if I feel that compliments the picture.

Three Lovely Ladies

Sunday afternoon I met up with these three Lovely Ladies, and they were such naturals! I loved photographing them because they were up for anything and made silly faces at each other to get some smiles! The oldest is leaving for college in a few weeks so Mom wanted to get a few pics of the three of them before she leaves and to surprise Dad! I chose just a few to share. Riley Turns ONE!

Saturday I had the pleasure of capturing Riley's First Birthday Party! It was so much fun! They had pools set up for all the little ones and they loved it, some of the older ones jumped from pool to pool, as you can see in th last pic. Thank you so much Lindy and Brain for allowing me to take part in Riley's Big Day! I picked just a few of my favorites to share. Believe me there are many more that are wonderful.

"Hey Katie I saw the capitol!" I met with one of my friends Katie, who lives there in Austin for lunch one day, and I had told her that I wanted to see the state capitol. She had said "Sarah, you have to go see it." So on our way home we detoured and went by the Texas State Capitol. It truely is beautiful. Although it was a scorcher out! It was like 102! We didn't stay long at all, just long enough to get a few pics and evidence that i went hehe..

I just love this for some reason.

The timing was all wrong while we were there for pics. but we didn't care we got them anyway!

I have Decided to Start a "Senior Representation Program." The Program is for anyone who will be a Senior in High School during the 2008-2009 school year. The Senior Rep. Program is GREAT for YOU and ME!

*This is a Sample of a 5x7 card that could be used for Handouts or even baby announcements.

As a Sr. Rep. you will receive a FREE session during the early Fall 2008. You will then be given cards, brochures, a proof book, and information of my business to hand out to friends. In return, each person you refer and books with me, you will receive a $15 photo credit. If you refer at least 3 people you will be given another FREE session to be done in the Spring!

Miss "J" the Little FIRECRACKER

On the 4th of July I had the chance to have a session with Miss "J" who is about a week and a half. She was a firecracker! Between the three potty accidents, and pulling her "pappy" (aka pacifier, but we call it pappy at my house) in and out to get some shots without it, we had a great shoot! :) Her parents are wonderful and the Whole family is BEAUTIFUL! An Evening with our Family

Another Taste of Trash...

As of Right Now, in October, I am planning to meet another photographer at Galveston to do a "Trash the Dress" shoot. I cannot wait and I know it will be a lot of fun! If any Bride is interested in coming and "modeling" for us or even you and your hubby, just email me or leave me a comment on here. If you sign up it doesn't mean you have to actually "trash the dress" or even get it wet for that matter. There is no contracts or fees involved, if you like any of the photos you can purchase them. A "Formal Trashing"

As you might not expect, a "formal trashing" involved Pretty Prom Dresses and Water! I had a great time photographing these two yesterday! It's not everyday that you get to get into the pool in your prom dress. Granted it was very very hot out and sunny too, that's why we included the sunglasses in some, which made some awesome accessories! Here is a sneak peak you two! Enjoy! There are many more to come.

Beach Babes

This past week we (my husband and lil e) went to Galveston for a little overnight trip. We had a great time, and E really loved the water and watching the waves and cars go by. Here are a couple pics from our "getaway" there will be more to come later. Enjoy!

Sorry these are so late! lol I have been meaning to give a sneak peek from the Wedding of Bridgette and Jason. Their "I Do's" were at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and let me tell you it was Sunny and Steamy while we took their photos. But overall it was all worth it! The wedding was very lovely and I must say the Newlyweds both looked beautiful!

Three Little Girls

Before the reharsal for the Wedding, I got the flower girl and the two junior bridesmaids to come with me and practice posing for pictures. I think it really helped them get to know me, and loosen them up for the wedding that took place on Saturday. Here are a couple!

They are here! They are Here! No, not my business cards, My Event cards for the Wedding this weekend. It was like Christmas when the FedEx guy gave me 2 packages! One was the event cards and the other was photos that I had purchased. I am planning to put the Event cards out on the tables, so that way family and friends can 1.) see my work and get my name out there, but 2.) See and purchase photos from the wedding themselves! Over the weekend, my sister was over and i had to use her to take some shots in front of this grungy "metal only" dumpster! lol We honestly spent a total of 5 minutes taking some shots on our way back home. I love how they give a totally different "urban" feel to the overall look!

Funny Girls is right! They kept each other laughing the whole time. I am surprised we got any "no smile" poses because the other one usually made the other laugh! I had a great time with them and they had me even laughing! Here is a Sneak Peek of the Two Seniors, Paige and Sara from yesterday! Literally a sneak peek! There are tons of great pics and I had to take a quick break from editing to post some so they could see! There are more to come!! Keep an eye out!

We started off at Paige's house and then went to Sara's Grandma's house, and then on to my favorite spot, the train tracks! Most of these up right now are from the tracks.

Katie's Baby Bump!

Katie has a Baby Bump! She looks great to be 7.5 months pregnant and having TWINS!!! And they are both GIRLS!!! They are going to have their hands full! Little Miss "M" was a doll and loved running around in the hott pink tutu... Here is a sample of the day!

We had some visitors at the park, Ducks! They sorta followed us everywhere, but maybe because Colby was feeding them cookies!

Gearing up for Maternity!

Tomorrow I have a maternity shoot, and the family too! I know it will be alot of fun! We are going to take some indoors and some outside.
